Lookee what some economists and other people who know what they’re talking about have to say about the Obummer budget:

• “If they keep playing this game, they’re going to have real credibility problems,” predicted Brian Bethune, the chief U.S. financial economist at IHS Global Insight, an economic research firm.
• “The (Obama) unemployment number is crazy,” said Roberton Williams, senior fellow at the Urban Institute-Brookings Institution Tax Policy Center.
• “Even using their . . . economic assumptions — which now appear to be out of date and overly optimistic — the administration never puts us on a stable path,” said Marc Goldwein, the policy director of the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

Scare Force One flies past the Statue of Liberty

Looks like the Obama staffer who is supposedly responsible for the Scare Force one debacle has been asked to fall on his sword:

The White House aide who authorized the controversial Air Force One photo-op flight last week around the Statue of Liberty is out of a job.

President Obama has accepted the resignation of Louis Caldera, the director of the White House Military Office, the Daily News learned Friday.

A secretary of the Army in the Clinton administration, Caldera took the fall for the public relations fiasco arising from the April 27 flyover, which was designed to replace a publicity photo of Air Force One flying past Mount Rushmore with a similar shot of Obama’s 747 jumbo jet over the Statue of Liberty.

Michelle Malkin notes:

Caldera’s disappearance under the Obama bus does not and should not end questions about the origin of the p.r. photo-op mission’s request, who participated, how it went down, and where protocol failed. And remember: Someone was planning a second flyover photo-op in Washington, D.C.

Great. A $327,000 publicity stunt that scared a nervous city almost cost double that.

Lovely. Oh, the best part of it as that at least some of these airports are already otherwise subsidized by–you guessed it–your money and mine.

In “honor” of this waste plus the $780-plus billion dollars of pork and other garbage Obama wants to waste, we created Robbery.US.com, a parody of Obummer’s Recovery.gov wastewebsite.

One of the worst things (I know, there are so many to choose from) Obummer’s done is to saddle our kids and grandkids with a massive debt, thanks to the massive Porkulus bill. Perry called his supporters patriots. Later, answering news reporters’ questions, Perry suggested Texans might at some point get so fed up they would want to secede from the union, though he said he sees no reason why Texas should do that.

“There’s a lot of different scenarios,” Perry said. “We’ve got a great union. There’s absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that. But Texas is a very unique place, and we’re a pretty independent lot to boot.”

Holy moley! I’m suddenly thinking about moving to Texas…

Thousands of people across the country will get in on the act to protest Obummer’s and the Democrat-controlled Congress’ record-breaking spending spree on your (and your children’s and grandchildren’s) dime. Unfortunately for me and maybe some of you, geography and other reasons are keeping me from attending an event. And this thing’s kind of personal for me: in less than five weeks my wife will give birth to our first child, who will sadly already be burdened with nearly $30,000 in debt thanks to Obummer’s, Pelousy’s and Reid’s insatiable appetites for spending OUR money to buy votes for themselves.
