“Rick Duncan” of Colorado Springs was a prominent anti-war activist who claimed to have served in Iraq on three tours of duty AND survived the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. He has now been unmasked as a lying mental patient.

Michelle Malkin also notes he’s not the first. This dude had been quoted by media extensively as an authority on veterans’ issues and he was a fake. No doubt it happened because the so-called “journalists” he spoke to wanted to believe he was who he said he was. Finding an anti-war vet, even a fake one, is a like winning the lottery for the left.

The latest victims on the brink are the Rocky Mountain news and the San Francisco Chronicle. As Michelle Malkin notes, however, instead of getting a clue, outlets like the Washington Post continue hammering away with their liberal biases. In this case, it’s a “failure to report the whole truth about ACORN’s foreclosure ‘victims,’” noted Malkin.

As Michelle Malkin notes, today’s Barack Obummer press conference on, ahem, fiscal “responsibility” was nothing but one big suck-up fest. Good thing I missed it.

As I mentioned yesterday, talking about cutting deficits and fiscal responsibility a week after signing into law the largest spending bill in the history of the world, is like pigging out at the buffet table and then declaring that you’re going on a diet tomorrow.

An Obama Tilt in Campaign Coverage

The Post provided a lot of good campaign coverage, but readers have been consistently critical of the lack of probing issues coverage and what they saw as a tilt toward Democrat Barack Obama. My surveys, which ended on Election Day, show that they are right on both counts.

Really???? Why, we never would’ve guessed in a million years!

Here’s a clue for you media: remember your bias the next time you note declining readership/viewership and the corresponding decline in ad revenues.

Study: Media coverage has favored Obama campaign

Comments made by sources, voters, reporters and anchors that aired on ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts over the past two months reflected positively on Obama in 65 percent of cases, compared to 31 percent of cases with regards to McCain, according to the Center for Media and Public Affairs.

“For whatever reason, the media are portraying Barack Obama as a better choice for president than John McCain,” said Robert Lichter, a George Mason University professor and head of the center. “If you watch the evening news, you’d think you should vote for Obama.”

(Ohio Department of Job and Family Services) Director Helen Jones-Kelley said her agency checks people who are “thrust into the public spotlight,” amid suggestions they may have come into money, to see if they owe support or are receiving undeserved public assistance.

(Ohio Department of Job and Family Services senior manager Vanessa) Niekamp told The Dispatch she is unfamiliar with the practice of checking on the newly famous. “I’ve never done that before, I don’t know of anybody in my office who does that and I don’t remember anyone ever doing that,” she said today.

Well, what a surprise. And as Michelle Malkin asks, where are “the left-wing privacy champions?” You know, the ones who demand that we not listen in on terrorists making cell phone calls to terror-sponsoring countries?
