I’m shocked that AP let this one slip through. The editors there must be asleep at the wheel or something. Because they published an article admitting that Obama gave a $75,000 grant to a cousin of his wife Michelle while he was an Illinois state senator.

Of course, all kinds of folks defending Obama are quoted in the article. True, under Illinois law, what Obama did wasn’t illegal. But it sure stinks to high heaven.

And here’s the money quote:

The grants were known as “member initiatives” and were similar to the congressional “earmarks” often criticized in Obama’s presidential campaign against Republican John McCain.

Yep, hypocrisy is spelled O-B-A-M-A.
